The Planetarium Dome
The planetarium dome is an independent, self-supporting structure (exception: fabric domes). Typically,
a rod network supports the projection surface. The dome is also an optical element of the projection and
must therefore meet special requirements. LED domes, to which the imaging panels are attached, are a
special feature.
The Hybrid Planetarium
Classic starry sky and fulldome visualization with the combination of astronomical content with fulldome presentations, we recommend a hybrid system consisting of a star projector and True Black LED video projectors.
FullDome 2D/3D Digital Planetarium
A wide range of programs planetariums aim for great flexibility with respect to their programming possibilities. Events go beyond astronomical related topics only. A high quality fulldome system is the most important component. Science, culture and entertainment enrich the program spectrum. ZEISS also offers professional solutions for stereo projection
RGB LED Cove Lighting
Rings of LED lighting fixtures located in the dome cove at the horizon are used for atmospheric lighting of the planetarium dome, but also for simulating an impressive twilight and for a variety of lighting effects. Color mixing and control functions are integrated in the planetarium control software. RGB (all colors mixable from red, green and blue) White (often used to illuminate the ingress and egress of the audience)
Professional Audio System
Professional multi-channel audio systems create a spatial sound experience in the planetarium. The selection of the correct components determines clarity of the acoustic experience. The sound equipment as well as the arrangement of speakers and subwoofer is project specific. 5.1/7.1 - Audio System- Microphones-Mixer-Amplifiers
